Lichfield’s rail passenger numbers increased yet again in the year up to March 2018, to a total of nearly 1.9 million. Over 5,000 people a day used the two stations, 21% up on just 5 years ago. Over half of them passed through Trent Valley station.
Chair of Lichfield Rail Promotion Group David Dixon said “This is good news for the city, and fully justifies our long campaign for lifts at Trent Valley, now about to be installed to help the elderly, those with heavy luggage and passengers who are disabled”.
